My name is Heather and I live in Jonesboro, IL which is on the southern tip of Illinois. I share my four bedroom home with my husband, our three girls, and all of our cat family. All of our cats are like additional family members. They want fed, must be groomed, want attention, and sometimes get into trouble. Each one of our babies have their very own personality and the traits to go along with it. The Persian and Himalayan breed, in my opinion, is unsurpassed! I have never found another breed of cat to be as loyal, compassionate, gentle, loving, or mischievous as the Persian / Himalayan.

Growing up I always loved animals and we always had plenty of them around. With all the animals that I had, what interested me the most and captured my heart were the cats. My Mom had a very soft heart when it came to animals, and she found it hard to say no to my brother and myself when we would want an additional furry creature to join our family. Being around animals, especially cats, became a way of life for me.

When I became an adult, I still had cats around. Usually just “barn cats” no particular breed. I always had a curiosity for the Persian breed. I remember watching the Walt Disney movie Homeward Bound and seeing that seal point Himalayan cat they called “Sassy” and thinking WOW!! What a GOREGOUS cat, I’d love to have a cat like that. Shortly after that I ran across an ad in a local paper advertising a Himalayan for sale. At the time I had no idea of the marking type of the cat I was looking for, I just knew when I saw her that would be it. When I called the number in the ad my exact words were, “ I’m looking for a cat identical to the one that was on the Disney movie Homeward Bound”. Her response was, “ I have one”.

The first time I saw Raja, our seal point Himalayan, I was in love and so began my intense love for the breed. In my opinion, if all of the breed were like Raja, they were next to perfect! Raja was my first Himalayan, I bought her back in 1999 and the rest is history.

Now I must admit, I was a bit naive when I thought that all of the breed would be as perfect as Raja. I soon learned that just like people, each cat has it’s own character traits and flaws. That is what makes each one of them unique. If they were all alike life would be boring. Cats are like kids, anything that can happen, does!!

About six months after I purchased Raja, I bought another seal point male and named him Kovu. I bred the two of them together and they produced the most beautiful kittens. I would always list them in the local paper and they would always sell quickly. Once you saw that beautiful little fluff ball that was it, you just had to have one. I continued to breed Raja & Kovu, and sold all of the kittens locally with no problem. Unfortunately in 2004 Raja had complications with her pregnancy resulting in her life being threatened. The only way to save Raja's life was to have a cesarean done followed by a hysterectomy. All that mattered to us was that she was going to be okay. I remember how I cried, because she was like a family member, and that loss hurt. At that point I almost decided to give up on breeding. As the months went by and the phone continued to ring with people wanting kittens. I decided to take the risk and try again. We now have several breeders and they can all be seen on their individual pages.

All of our kittens are handled from birth. The whole thing is a family project, and both of my girls help out with the playing aspect as well as litter box changing!

All of our cats reside in our home.  I have special places devoted to the new mothers until their kittens are old enough and big enough to roam & play with  the rest of the cats. This provides the needed privacy and security for mom and babies while they are small.

All of my cats get daily attention and we love them all. I hope that you too will find the love of your life here with our babies!!

All of my cats are CFA [ Cat Fanciers Association ] registered. My cats range from flat faced to doll faced. Doll face means that they have a small nose or a small profile. Flat Faced is were they really don’t have a nose that sticks out at all. They turn sideways and have no profile.

All of my kittens comes with a 48 hour written Health Guarantee. It guarantees that the kitten will not have anything life threatening wrong with it. No matter were you go to purchase your kitten, no one is going to offer you a lifetime health guarantee. Cats & kittens are like humans in the since that they can get sick for varies reasons. It is up to you the buyer to make sure that your kitten / cat receives the proper medical attention when needed. All of the cats I purchased came with the same guarantee that I offer. If you are worried that something is wrong with your kitten take him / her to a licensed veterinarian and have him / her checked out. I will not sell my kittens if I even have a hint that something could be wrong with them. But some people will, so again, no matter who you buy from make sure you have a health guarantee in writing.

I wish you well choosing your new baby, whether you find one here or somewhere else. The Persian / Himalayan Breed is a wonderful breed! Their personalities in my experience are unsurpassed!

Thank you for your time and enjoy the rest of your visit.
